Apparently BSB is saying you have him blocked. You’re wondering why he isn’t directly linking your stuff. IIRC On Substack, if someone blocks you, you cannot view their material. So that may be the explanation why he was unable to directly link your stuff.
Thanks for letting me know. As far as I know being blocked does not prevent you from linking to someone else's articles or mentioning their name. And there are ways to see content on an account that has blocked you that I don't think violate Substack's rules. You could at least mention their name and ask someone else to give you a URL to their blog or to specific articles. I think you can also open articles as a document and save the, so it'd be easy for someone else to send you copies of someone's posts. If all of that is somehow in violation of the rules I'd be surprised; at the very least there shouldn't be a rule that if someone blocks you, you cannot mention them at all.
