This is my 100th post! Thanks so much for everyone who has subscribed or moved over to Substack with me, and I welcome all those who are reading this at some later point in time.
When I started this blog, I had the understandable worry that I’d write a few things then give it up. That hasn’t happened. It’s still growing strong and I expect it to continue to do so. I’ve started to wonder why I didn’t start a blog ages ago.
I want to build a community, both for moral antirealists and those who disagree with us. But I also want to create room for appreciating the importance of criticizing the methods used in academic fields. There’s so much bad criticism from people who don’t understand philosophy well enough to raise substantive objections. Those critics who do know enough to say something substantive about the problems philosophy currently faces don’t have enough visibility. I’m hoping that can change.
Please feel free to leave a comment here. It doesn’t have to be anything serious. You can hi, introduce yourself, or whatever else. So far, there haven’t been many comments. But I’m hoping that can change, too.
Congrats, Lance! This is a great blog you got here. I checked out some of your posts and found references to some cool philosophers like Loeb, whose work I respect. As you know, I’m not a moral antirealist but I look forward to reading more from you and discussing the arguments on the issue with you. Keep up the good work (:
